My Story
I’ve spent over 25 years in the world of HR, walking alongside people through growth, uncertainty, reinvention, and tough conversations. From high-growth startups to moments of deep organizational challenge, I’ve seen what pressure can do, and I’ve witnessed the courage it takes to lead with clarity and compassion.

But my biggest wake-up call wasn’t in the boardroom. In 2021, I experienced a sudden and life-threatening brain event while traveling for work. Far from home and family, I underwent emergency brain surgery and spent weeks in recovery. That experience shifted everything, reminding me what truly matters: being present, living with purpose, and staying deeply connected to the people and work that give life meaning.

That clarity led me to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching, a program that stretched and shaped me. I realized coaching wasn’t just something I had done informally for years, in mentoring and advising roles, it was the work I was meant to do. One person at a time. Heart first, but always with clear eyes.

I bring a calm, focused presence to my coaching, shaped by years in leadership, my own lived experience, and a deep belief in the power of connection. My somatic practices help me stay grounded and attuned, creating a space where clients feel supported, stretched, and truly seen. My style is direct but compassionate, professional yet human. I believe in showing up with integrity, light-heartedness, and care, especially when things feel hard.

Fabienne’s career includes leadership roles at Alberta Management Investment Corporation (AIMCo), Cenovus Energy, ConocoPhillips, and Earls Restaurants leading large teams and transforming the business shaping workforce planning, talent development, and mergers, acquisitions and divestments. Fabienne has extensive experience in coaching, leadership, facilitation, communication and emotional intelligence.

Fabienne is a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) with extensive professional experience. She is also a Certified Resilience Practitioner and holds certification in EQi Assessments. In addition, she carries designations as a Certified Human Resource Practitioner (CPHR) and Certified Talent Management Practitioner (CTMP), and is a Certified Reiki Master.

My Story
In my over 25 years leading and mentoring in complex, fast-moving environments - across energy, finance, and restaurant industries - I’ve helped build high-performing teams, supported leaders through transformation, and walked alongside people as they discovered what they’re truly capable of. I’ve always been drawn to the quiet power in others; their resilience, their depth, their potential, and I’ve made it my work to help them see it too.
​
But some of my deepest lessons didn’t come from boardrooms or business transformations. I’m a multi-time cancer survivor, first diagnosed as a child, and again in my adult life. Living with cancer as a chronic condition has shaped me profoundly. It taught me that life is precious, that we’re here to help one another, and that strength and courage often show up in quiet, steady ways.
​
These experiences have sharpened my focus and deepened my compassion. They are why I lead and coach with honesty, transparency, and heart. I believe in the power of connection; in community; in staying present and purposeful, even when things are hard.

Today, I’m a certified executive coach and Reiki Master. I bring a calm, grounded presence to my work, combining somatic practices, strategic insight, and a deep respect for the human experience. My clients describe me as focused, warm, and clear-eyed. I show up with integrity and care, and I create space where people feel seen, stretched, and supported.
